Moderate and Play Trivia Battle
Enable Trivia Battle in the session
1. Sign into the session as a Moderator and click Session Settings
2. Click Enable/Disable Features
3. Click the padlock to activate Trivia Battle in the session:
Trivia Battle Tools and Settings
Moderators of Trivia Battle will find a variety of tools and settings to help them host this fun quiz-style game. Back in the session as a Moderator, click on the button labeled Join Trivia Battle (Moderator) to setup and run the game.
Open Presentation View
Presentation View is one of two options to show the game on-screen for attendees to participate. Keep reading to learn how to use the Live Content Slide method instead.

Is equipped to display trivia questions and the leaderboard
Show Onboarding Screen
- Displays a QR code on the game display.
- Players using a smartphone can join the game by scanning the QR code with their camera:

- Shows the leaderboard in the game display even without an active trivia question in play:
Question Timer
- Select the number of seconds players will have to answer each trivia question. The timer ranges from 3-60 seconds.
Create Quiz Questions
Create manually or upload a batch of quiz questions all at once.
Option 1: Create manually
1. Click Create New Question:
2. Enter the trivia question
3. Enter the correct answer followed by incorrect answer options
4. Enter the number of points the winner will be awarded
Note: The system is designed to count backwards from the set point value to determine respondents' scores as time goes on. Because of this, point values for the questions must be set at a value greater than one (1) point.
5. Click Save Question:
Option 2: Upload a batch of trivia questions using the game template

5. Return to the Upload Questions screen in Trivia Battle and click to upload the file or drag the file to the drop box:

Decide how to display
Decide if you will use Presentation View as noted above, or the session-specific Trivia Battle live content slide in your PowerPoint/Keynote/Google Slides deck to display the game onscreen for attendees to view and participate.
Note: Ensure the presenting computer has the add‑in/extension installed (links for the Windows, Mac, or the Conferences i/o Chrome extension + Google Slides add‑on).
How to add the live content slide (Moderator):
- Session Settings → Add Live Content → Download All Live Content Slides.
- Drag the Trivia Battle slide into your deck
- Ensure the add-in is installed on the presenting and testing computer (see note above).
- Test: Run through the steps below using your personal device, then select the Reset All Scoring & Players button to reset the game.
Invite players to join the game
1. Ask players to join the session and click Join Trivia Battle:
2. Players will then enter their name and select an avatar:
Play the game
1. To open the game moderator controls for a question, click Open Question
2. Click Show Question Only to reveal the question and points a player can win:
3. Click Deploy/Start to display the question, possible answers, and start the countdown timer: 
- After the game moderator has clicked Deploy/Start, players will select an answer on their computer or mobile device as shown below:
- The faster a player can answer correctly, the more points they can win. Each trivia question is accompanied by a countdown timer. As the timer counts down, the number of points a player can win will also decrease.
4. Click Show Answer to highlight the correct answer and percentage of players who selected each option: 
5. Click Return to Leaderboard to display players who answered correctly and add their points to their overall scores as shown below:
