Adding the California Jurisdiction-Specific Ethics Qualification

To ensure that Ethics training fulfills the California Regulatory Review requirement, the program must include the Jurisdiction‑Specific Ethics – California qualification. Follow the steps below to apply the qualification at the program level or to adjust credits for individual users.

Apply the Qualification at the Program Level

  1. Go to Training and locate the program you want to update.
  2. From the menu options, select Edit Program.
  3. In the Edit Program view, scroll to the Program Qualifications section.
  4. Select Jurisdiction-Specific Ethics, then choose California from the dropdown menu.
  5. Scroll down and select Save to apply the changes.
  6. In the pop-up window, check the box to re-apply changes to previously passed users.
    • This will update credits for all previously passed users using the default credit value and apply them toward the California Regulatory Review requirement.

Note: If a user has custom credits, those credits must be updated manually (see below) or via an Earned Credits bulk upload for multiple users.

 

Modify Credit for a Single User

  1. Open the user’s Transcript and select the program that needs updating.
  2. From the row action icon, select Manage attendees.
  3. In the attendee list, find the specific user and choose View Credits from the row action icon.
  4. In the pop-up window, select Edit This Credit in the upper right corner.
  5. Scroll to the list of jurisdictions assigned to the user. Under California, move the credit from the current category to the Regulatory Review category.
  6. Select Save to apply the updated credit and ensure it counts toward the California Regulatory Review requirement.

Require users to Request Credit Modification:

This workflow requires the user to confirm that the credits meet the California Regulatory Review requirements before any modifications are made. As an admin, you will review and approve the request, and the credits will be re‑applied upon approval to ensure the user’s request history is preserved.
