LCvista and Becker Professional Education (Becker) have partnered to develop a dedicated feed of Becker programs for subscribing firms. Becker provides CPE programs in accounting, finance, and tax programs for CPA, CIA, CMA, and EA exam review audiences.

WHAT TO KNOW

Program Delivery — Programs are maintained via LCvista's multisite feature: Becker pushes its programs directly to your site, and they sync automatically into a user-facing catalog.

Staying Current — Becker sends updates on an ongoing basis, including new program additions and enrollment end date changes, and programs drop out of the catalog automatically once their enrollment window closes with no active session behind them. Live webinar cancellations are handled through that same process.

Self-Study Timelines — For self-study programs, users typically get a full year to complete once enrolled; in LCvista, you'll see this reflected as a session end date set 365 days out from the enrollment end date, unless Becker specifies a different window for a given program.

Catalog Maintenance — The Becker catalog is self-maintaining, so you won't need to manually track or remove expired programs there. That said, if shared programs are in learning plans or additional catalogs of your own, those aren't auto-synced; you're responsible for keeping them current.

Technical Details — On the technical side, Becker delivers programs in AICC format rather than SCORM, and Becker can enable or disable programs from their end (for example, at contract expiration).

COMMON QUESTIONS

Can users retake Becker programs?

Yes! Site admins will need to reach out directly to Becker support or their Becker rep to have the program reset. Once the program is reset by Becker, site admins can update the user's LCvista status to enrolled.

If the previous completion needs to be tracked, an external program can be created to house the additional completion.

If no completion is required, users can relaunch the program and use the Becker "Play Again" feature to review parts of the lesson.

How often are programs marked complete?

Self-study programs are marked complete once a user completes the program requirements. Live events can have a delay of 2 hours as quizzes are graded.

What if users took another delivery method?

If users completed the same program in another delivery method, they will see a warning that they are unable to complete the program again when launching from a new delivery method. This means users are unable to complete the program as both a live event and self-study.

How can access be managed?

Site admins can use LCvista user groups to manage who has access to the Becker Professional Education catalog. This is especially useful when only a select group of professionals need access.

What notifications are available?

Admins can request update reports from their Becker representatives. In addition, admins can create a saved report that shows programs created in the last 30 days, 90 days, quarter, or year.

Can completions from Becker's LMS sync with LCvista?

No. Users will need to launch and completion training from LCvista.
