Admins can use combined session attendance certificates to send proof of CE credits to attendees for events comprised of multiple sessions or days.
Note: Attendance Tracking is an Add-On feature. If you do not see menu choices under the Admin area for Attendance Tracking, please contact your account manager if you are interested in this add-on feature, or contact support@conferences.io with questions about your account.

Overview
Combined certificates allow admins to issue attendees a single certificate for an event that was comprised of multiple sessions or days. Combined certificates include the total sum of CE credit earned at the event as well as a breakdown of the credit earned in each session.
Note: To avoid issues with certificates not sending or incorrect characters appearing on the certificate, please avoid using special characters in session names. If the apostrophe isn’t saving correctly, delete and re-add the character using the ' key on your keyboard. Additionally, it’s always a good idea to test the PDF and the email delivery by checking yourself into the session(s) using Kiosk mode.
You can always confirm that an email was sent by looking for the "Email Sent" timestamp on the Manage Attendance page and the Combined Certificate & Multi-Session Certificates page; an example is shown below:
Create and manage combined certificates
-
Review attendance data for each session following the steps outlined here.
Important Note: Sessions where an attendee is marked No for 'Eligible For Certificate?' will still display on the combined reporting dashboard, but will not be included in their actual certificate.
-
Once you have reviewed the attendance data from each session and made adjustments to credit eligibility for the attendees, click Certificate Email Configuration & Settings from the Admin Panel.
-
Enter the name of the overall conference or event under Program Name and make sure all of the Email Certificate Delivery fields are completed.
-
Go back to the Admin Panel and click Combined Attendance & Multi-session Certificates
Make any necessary corrections to the name and email address entered by the attendee, or add any session check-ins they may have missed, as needed.
The Combined Attendance Reporting dashboard displays a summary of all of the sessions that each attendee has checked in to and the total sum of credits earned from those sessions.
Reset 'Sent' Status if Needed
The system will remember and note the datetime that a certificate was last sent to the email address, even if it was a few months ago or longer (example below). You will need to reset the sent status in order to send the new/current certificates to these attendees.
- Admin > Combined Attendance & Multi-Session Certificates
- Scroll down until you see the button Reset the 'sent' status of all previously-sent certificates along the right hand side, the last option under 'Advanced Options' as shown below:
Send each attendee their Certificate of Attendance
In each attendee's row, clicking Download Certificate will download a PDF of that attendee's certificate. Clicking Send Certificate will email the address specified the certificate.
Download or email certificates (PDF) to eligible attendees in bulk
- Click Send Emails to All Eligible Recipients in the sidebar to email a certificate to each eligible recipient that has not yet been sent a certificate. Alternatively, click Download All Combined Certificates to ZIP to download a ZIP file with all of the certificates generated in the session.
- In addition, you can save a copy of all certificates via the button indicated below. The ZIP file will contain PDF files for each attendee, where the filenames will be lastname_firstname_sessionname
